Text Messages from KODA
What we send, how you say yes, and how to stop at any time.
KODA Carpet Cleaning sends a small number of text messages about work you have arranged with us — most usefully, a note when your technician is on the way. This page explains exactly what that program is, because you should be able to read it before you agree to it.

Who texts you
KODA Carpet Cleaning, a family-owned cleaning company in Holland, Michigan. Our texts come from (616) 275-5940. Our office line, where a person answers, is (616) 312-1900.
What we send
Service messages about your own job. In practice that is one of these:
Your technician is on the way.
“Hi Sarah, this is Brendan with KODA Carpet Cleaning. I’m on my way to your appointment and should arrive shortly. See you soon! Questions? Call 616-312-1900.”
Your rugs are ready to collect.
“Hi Sarah, it’s KODA Carpet Cleaning. Your items are cleaned and ready for pickup at 100 S Waverly Rd, Ste 107, Holland, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. Thank you!”
A document to look over and sign.
“KODA Carpet Cleaning: your Service Agreement is ready to review and sign.” — followed by a link to this website.
You can also simply text us back. Someone at the office reads it and answers. Occasionally we may send an existing customer a seasonal note about our services; you can stop those the same way you stop anything else, and we do not send them to anyone who has opted out.
How often, and what it costs
Message frequency varies with your job — for most customers it is one or two messages around each appointment, not a weekly newsletter. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. KODA does not charge you anything to receive our texts.
How you opt in
Three ways, and none of them is required in order to book with us or to have your floors cleaned.
1. On our booking form. When you request a cleaning at kodacarpetcleaning.com, the last step of the form offers an optional box. It is unticked when you get there, you can leave it unticked, and your booking goes through either way. It reads:
☐ Text me about my appointment. I agree to receive service text messages from KODA Carpet Cleaning at this number, such as a note when my technician is on the way. Consent is not a condition of service. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy.
2. By phone, or at our shop. If you book by calling (616) 312-1900, or drop rugs off with us in person, we will ask for a mobile number and tell you we would like to text you service updates about that job. If you would rather we did not, say so — it changes nothing about the work, and we note it on your account.
3. By texting us first. If you text (616) 275-5940, we will answer you in that conversation.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any text from us. That stops the messages to that number right away, and you will get one confirmation that it worked. You do not need to explain yourself, and it has no effect on your service — we will simply call or email you instead.
Reply HELP to any text for help, or call the office at (616) 312-1900 and we will take care of it. If you change your mind, reply START.
Your number stays with us
We do not share your mobile number, or your agreement to receive texts, with anyone else for their own marketing. It stays with KODA and the providers who run our scheduling and messaging on our behalf. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy, and our service terms are in our Service Agreement & Policies.
Questions
Call (616) 312-1900 or email info@kodacarpetcleaning.com. We would rather answer a question than have you wondering.
